Google Adsense is one of the most common advertisement programs that allows Bloggers to make money through ads. Many bloggers in Nepal use Google Adsense to make money from their blogs.
If you have a blog in Nepal, you should get it monetized with Google Adsense. It is the easiest way to make money blogging in Nepal. If you get regular traffic to your blog, you should apply for the Google Adsense program asap.
But, hold on.
You cannot just set up a blog and start putting up ads on it. Your blog needs to fulfill certain criteria to get approved by Google.
In this article, we will be discussing what you need to do for your blog to get approved by the Google Adsense program.
How To Get Google Adsense Approval For Your Blog In Nepal?
1. Professional Domain Name
We have discussed domain names and hosting in our previous articles. Just to recap, a domain name is basically the name of your blog. It is seen in the URL of your blog/website. For example, www.thisisyourdomainname.com.
If you want to get your blog monetized with Google Ads, you need to register for a professional domain name. We recommend you buy a “.com” domain name. For Nepali blogs, “.com.np” will also work. You can register a “.com.np” domain for free in Nepal.
Other than “.com” domain, “.org”, “.info”, “.net”, “.edu”, etc. are also considered professional domain names.
If you are using free platforms like blogger.com and wordpress.com, your domain name usually looks like this:
- yourblogname.blogspot.com
- yourblogname.wordpress.com
Do not use these domains if you want your blog to get approved for monetization.
Consider buying a proper domain and hosting for your blog.

2. Good Theme
Your blog has to have a good theme and design. Most importantly, it should look good and it should be accessible from any device.
There are a lot of good WordPress themes you can choose from. Do a brief research on what themes are best for Adsense approval.
Your blog should be easy to navigate between pages. For this, you need to set up a menu that links to all the important pages. You can also use sidebars and footer menus.
Google also checks whether your blog is device-friendly or not. Since most of the users will be accessing your blog from mobile phones and tablets, make sure your blog is mobile-friendly.
To do so, you can use Google’s mobile-friendly test. Check the results and make improvements accordingly.
3. Pages
Google requires you to have an “About Us” page, “Contact” page, and “Privacy Policy” page.
Make sure you create these pages on your blog.
On the “About Us” page, write what your blog is about and what the readers can expect from it. You can include your team details (if you have any). It does not have to be very long and specific. A simple 100-word post will be fine.
The “Contact” page should have a form. The website visitors should be able to contact you through this form. You can also include contact details like email address, contact number, location, etc. You can use a simple plugin like Contact Form 7 to set up a form for this page.
The “Privacy Policy” page is the most important one that Google checks. If you do not know what to include on this page, search for “privacy policy generator” on Google. You will get a lot of results. Select any one and provide your blog details like URL, email address, blog category, etc. They will generate the page contents for you. You can simply copy and paste it on your “Privacy Policy” page.
4. Quality Content
Do not expect to get approved for monetization if your blog does not have quality content. What does it mean by “quality content”?
a) Plagiarism-Free Articles
You should write plagiarism-free articles on your blog. Do not copy and paste from other websites. Google will know it. Write original content. Also, make sure to use your own images. You can also use royalty-free images from other websites.
b) Structure
Make sure your articles are well-structured. Use proper paragraphs, headings, bullets/numberings, images, etc. Check this article for more:
c) Words
Write at least 500-600 words in your articles. Our recommendation is 800-1200 words. Do not write short articles. Your blog posts should provide value to the readers. Practice writing good articles.
d) Categories and Tags
Make sure your blog has at least 5-10 different categories. These categories have to be used in different blog posts. Also, use relevant tags in your blog posts.
5. Sufficient Posts
There is no specific amount regarding the number of posts you need to have on your blog. People provide different numbers according to experience.
We recommend you to have at least 15-20 articles on your blog before applying for Google Adsense. However, we have also seen that blogs with only 10 articles have been approved for Adsense. As we said, there is no fixed number. But it is good to have more rather than an insufficient amount of articles.
It is about quality as well. If you write high-value articles with sufficient words, your blog can get approved with fewer articles.
6. No Prohibited Content
Do not include contents that are against Google’s policies for Adsense. Google prohibits content related to sex, drugs, abuse, alcohol, gambling, prostitution, etc.
Make sure you read these guidelines to avoid the use of prohibited content on your blog.
Clearing Out Some Confusions
Some internet articles also say that your blog/website has to be 6 months old to get AdSense approval. This is not particularly true. Google has not clearly defined such a rule. However, we recommend you to wait for at least 1-2 months before applying for Adsense.
You can apply for Adsense once you have met all of the above-mentioned criteria. If it gets rejected, Google will state the issues for it. You can re-apply once you have solved the issues.
Next, there is also confusion regarding whether you need to have a certain amount of traffic on your blog before getting Adsense approval. The answer to this is that you do not need traffic on your blog to get monetized by Google Adsense. Again, if you have met the above criteria correctly, your blog will be approved for Google Ads.
In Conclusion
In this article, we laid out the basic requirements to get Google Adsense Approval for your blog in Nepal. We still recommend you to read Google’s Policies carefully before applying for the Adsense program.
If your blog gets rejected, do not give up. Find out the reason for the rejection, make changes, and re-apply. Some blogs might not get approved even after several attempts. It is because they have not met all the requirements of Google.
Make sure you have used all the above-mentioned techniques on your blog to get the approval of Google Adsense.
As we said earlier, Google Adsense is the easiest way to monetize your blog and make money from blogging in Nepal.
But your focus should always be on creating valuable content for your readers. If the content is good, your blog will definitely be approved by Google.
